I was never into fantasy RPGs growing up. Most book based games I played were set in post-apocalyptic settings, my fav being Rifts by Palladium.
This series was great and really leaves a lot of space open to an online game. Seemingly endless weapons, armor and cyber/bio upgrades. Magic (I was never really a fan of it and as GM banned it in my games, seemed stupid).
With the opening of rifts, it gives background to the system as to "WHY" a new game branch was openend. I'm thinking ...
