A guy named John White discovers over time through a series of weird coincidences that he is a genetically engineered attempt at the perfect human. After discovering this, and the coverup following an investigation from the FBI and CIA which found "no evidence" supporting who was responsible makes him realize that the FBI and CIA were in on it -- but because they were caught in the process from a leak could not continue the project and left him in the world, knowing that he could never find out without being told. The story changes based on how the player decides to find out (the coincidences vary based on selected age, occupation, and even gender) but all lead to the same general conclusion that his (or her) entire life is a lie -- as he/she doesn't have real parents or an exact birth date.
